Well I had an interesting weekend here.  We've been having some interesting weather here in Austin. Storms since last thursday. Thunder, lightening all the good stuff as it were. Anyways we had the weather happening and well it's pretty normal around this time of yr for the most part. What isn't normal is having the electric transformer in the back yard get hit by lightnening. That happened around 7PM on saturday and we had no power until 9AM sunday morning when the power company finally got to us. There were over 9k people without power and as of today there were still several hundred who'd been out since last thursday. It gets better though. Since the lightening was a direct strike on the transformer it grounded through our cable modem. It took out the router, the hub in Roomie's room, the hub in the home office and a network card in one computer. It also took out the telephone since our phone service is on the cable also. We replaced the hubs with switches and the network card on sunday but could not replace the modem until today. Still don't have a working phone other than the cell phones.  So that explains why there have been no comments from me lately as I've not been online. We just got everything up and running a few hrs ago and my flist was at skip 200+. My AOL mail acct had over 200 pieces of spam in it, I had mail from a sister telling me an aunt of mine passed away on saturday(truthfully I thought she had passed away already) giving me funeral info which means I have to hit store and send cousins sympathy cards soon. We were fortunate though. We did not lose the computers. We joke that the hubs and router gave up the ghost and kept the computers from being fried. Replacing computers would've been horrendous financially.

Anyways that explains why I've not been commenting at all since saturday afternoon. I've skimmed the flist but not commented anything give me time folks yall are talkative.
